Foster Care Awareness Month is coming to a close, but we believe that the church is called to care for children impacted by the foster system all year long!
If you're ready to "find your something" for kids in foster care, we would love to hear from you! Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form through the linktree in our profile and we'll get in touch.

DC127 hosts workshops for foster parents throughout the year. These provide practical support in caring for the children in their care and an opportunity to connect with other foster parents, especially when meeting in person.
Last month, were hosted an encouraging workshop along with a nourishing lunch thanks to many wonderful partners. Thanks to for facilitating the workshop, for providing the space, and for providing lunch and organizing fun activities!

This Foster Care Awareness Month, we're asking a simple question: what would it look like to live an interruptible life for the sake of children and families in our city?
575 children in DC are in foster care right now. 98 licensed homes are available.
We believe this city can change. And we believe it starts with ordinary people choosing, one at a time, to become a little more interruptible.

THANK YOU to our amazing Kids Day Out volunteers! Earlier this month, 14 kids had a wonderful day while foster and kinship caregivers got a well-deserved break. Two brand-new families even got to experience it for the very first time!
Many thanks to the volunteers from New Song DC, The District Church, Grace Meridian Hill, Grace Capital City, Passion City Church DC, and Grace Downtown for joining us this month. And special thanks to Redemption Hill Church for hosting. We couldn't do this without you!

The Church isn't a bystander to the challenge of foster care. We're called to be part of the answer to it.
This Foster Care Awareness Month, we're rallying churches across DC to show up for vulnerable children and families. Because a city where no child faces life alone? That's a vision the Church was made to help build.
Maybe, just maybe, that starts with you.

The need for foster homes in DC remains urgent.
This Foster Care Awareness Month, we are inviting our network to “pray without ceasing” and to take a deeper look at the challenges facing children and families impacted by foster care.
This is an important moment for the Church to recognize the need and respond, considering how we can be part of lasting change for children and families in DC. How could your family, church, or community be part of the solution?
