The Renaissance House is a holistic neighborhood hub addressing health, education, and community cohesion. When I visited, I got to see firsthand the meaningful work that they are doing. In a neighborhood that has faced historic disinvestment this project is helping to close health gaps and restore a sense of pride and possibility. Thank you to Dr. Jennifer Giddings Brooks for inviting me to visit the Renaissance House.

The process for protecting our food supply needs reform, plain and simple. What’s safe should be based on science and truth, not speculation. Under MAHA, that standard is slipping, with unproven claims getting amplified. RFK Jr. continues to blur the line between evidence and misinformation and when it comes to what we eat, that’s dangerous.

Food safety demands strong, science-backed standards. That means empowering the FDA to enforce stricter safeguards, improve recalls, and ensure transparent labeling so Americans can trust what’s on their plate.
