Since 2018, she has served as a Contract Nurse specializing in clinical instruction and nursing education, helping strengthen healthcare teams and improve patient outcomes. With an MBA in Health Care Marketing and a BSN from the University of Texas at Tyler, along with a background in journalism,
Annette brings both expertise, strong communication and a passion to public service to her extraordinary work.

Dallas College teamed up with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses to host a program that is helping entrepreneurs across North Texas take their businesses to the next level. Investing in small businesses means investing in our communities.

As the semester comes to a close, I want to congratulate our incredible Spring 2026 interns—Alap, Panagiotis, Kimberly, and Michelle.

The Renaissance House is a holistic neighborhood hub addressing health, education, and community cohesion. When I visited, I got to see firsthand the meaningful work that they are doing. In a neighborhood that has faced historic disinvestment this project is helping to close health gaps and restore a sense of pride and possibility. Thank you to Dr. Jennifer Giddings Brooks for inviting me to visit the Renaissance House.

and Irving community leaders celebrated a major milestone in securing 2M in State funding for Campion Trail Expansion Project, which has been in the making for over 40 years.

This Project will connect the North and South Irving Trails into one continuous route which will allow people to walk, bike, and run across multiple cities across DFW.
