President Isaias Afwerki received today at Denden Guest House, Italian Vice FM Emanuela Del Re & representatives of business delegation accompanying her. Pre. Isaias invoked long history of Italian engagement in the Horn & invited the entrepreneurs to invest in various sectors. The Italian Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs underlined prevalence of vast opportunities for Italian investment in the Horn & expressed her firm conviction that future investment will indeed promote equitable benefits to the peoples of the region as well as to the Italian people

President Isaias Afwerki received US Assistant Secretary for Africa, Tibor Nagy, to discuss bilateral & regional issues of mutual interest. President Isaias underlined Eritrea's readiness for constructive engagement to foster warm ties of cooperation with US in various sectors. The Assistant Secretary of State for Africa for his part reiterated US decision to strengthen its ties with Eritrea.
