The Dallas County primary was thrown into chaos when Republicans changed the rules on Election Day, leaving more than 30,000 voters redirected to different polling locations. My VOTE Act puts a stop to that by requiring voters to be notified when their polling place changes, so everyone knows where to cast their ballot.

Across Texas, too many families are being priced out of homeownership. Congress needs to step up and tackle this housing crisis head-on.

That’s why I introduced the Access to Homeownership Act so that on-time rent payments count toward building credit and help more people qualify for their first home.

I brought together leaders from across North Texas to push for real solutions because everyone deserves a fair shot at owning a home.

My office is hosting an event to support North Texans who may be impacted by ICE. We’ll provide one-on-one assistance with ICE-related casework, no questions asked.

ICE detentions are a serious issue that requires governmental, legal, and community support. Attorneys from The Mexican American Bar Association and community organizations will be present to provide Know Your Rights information and share community resources to help individuals and families understand their options and protections.

If you or someone you know needs help navigating an immigration issue or simply wants to be informed, we encourage you to attend. My team will be there to provide guidance and connect you with resources.

One of my top priorities is delivering results for North Texas. I was proud to bring home more than $5.1 million to the City of Dallas - City Hall to strengthen infrastructure, improve safety, & support neighborhoods. These are your tax dollars making a real difference.

Thank you for the long hours, the sacrifice, and the critical care you provide to North Texans every day!

Resource Center Health plays a vital role in keeping LGBTQ North Texans healthy, and I was proud to help open their new health care facility, an investment in access for our community.

This is what it looks like when we invest in people and build a healthier future for North Texas.

Cinco de Mayo is a reminder of the resilience and determination that continue to shape our communities today.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet with the Mexican Ambassador to the United States to discuss strengthening the relationship between our two nations, because our futures are deeply connected.

Here in North Texas, Mexican-American communities are an essential part of that bond, contributing to our economy, culture, and shared success every day. Today, we celebrate that enduring connection and the people who carry it forward.

This morning, I joined faith leaders from CLEAR DFW outside ICE’s field office to mark one-year of their weekly prayer vigils. Together, across faiths, we continue to pray for our immigrant community and for those harmed by ICE’s actions in our country. In Congress, I will always stand up for our immigrant communities and never waver in defending their rights.

In recognition of International Workers’ Day, I was proud to meet with the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association, a group of dedicated public servants who keep our communities connected, no matter the distance. Their work is essential, and I’ll keep fighting in Congress to support them.
