The House just passed the FY27 Agriculture Appropriations bill, continuing our work to deliver results for North Dakota agriculture and rural communities.

After passing year-round E15 and a five-year Farm Bill, this bill FUNDS the priorities we established in the Farm Bill. It strengthens support for ag research, animal and plant health, rural infrastructure, meat inspection, and farm programs while increasing scrutiny of foreign purchases of American farmland, including by China and other adversarial nations.

North Dakota producers help feed, fuel, and power the country, and I’ll continue supporting policies that keep them competitive and strengthen rural America.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates farmers lose billions of dollars in repair costs and lost productivity annually due to burdensome DEF requirements.

That’s why I’m leading on the Diesel Engine Flexibility Act. This draft legislation aligns federal law with the EPA’s recent changes, helping reduce costly repairs, prevent unnecessary equipment derates, and keep producers working when it matters most.

Fedorchak supports legislation to strengthen oversight of federal child care programs 06/03/2026

Fraud in federal child care assistance programs cost American taxpayers an estimated $600 million each year. Think of the difference this money could make on child care availability if used appropriately. This is outrageous!

The House just passed H.R. 7726, the Stop Child Care Scams Act of 2026, to strengthen oversight and increase accountability so these programs serve the people they were intended to help.

Wasteful and fraudulent spending is an invisible tax on every American, and drive up costs on everything! House Republicans will continue to crack down on this abuse of American and North Dakotan taxpayers.

Every single Democrat voted to raise your taxes.

Meanwhile, Republicans delivered the Working Families Tax Cuts—the largest tax cut in history.

The results are clear: American families and workers have already claimed more than $82 billion in tax relief, with the overwhelming majority going to households earning under $200,000.

✅ Over 29 million workers have claimed No Tax on Overtime, with an average deduction of more than $3,100.

✅ Nearly 40 million families have claimed the enhanced Child Tax Credit.

✅ More than 35 million seniors have claimed the Enhanced Senior Deduction, averaging over $7,500.

✅ More than 1.4 million Americans have claimed No Tax on Car Loan Interest.

These are real savings for people who work hard, raise families, and keep our country running. At the heart of the Working Families Tax Cuts is a simple principle: Americans should be able to keep more of what they earn.

I know full well the journey and heartache of Alzheimer's disease. I also know the great work of the Alzheimer's Association. They do important work to support patients, caregivers, and families battling with this difficult disease. Alzheimer’s touches so many lives, and I’m grateful for their advocacy, compassion, and commitment to advancing research, improving care, and providing hope. 💜

A special White House visit made even better by sharing it with family! Grateful to have Mike and my mother-in-law, Betty, join me for a memorable lunch in the Navy Mess made possible by my former state director, John Reiten. No pictures are allowed inside, but all of the decor pays homage to our navy, and the delicious food is served by active-duty Naval officers. 🇺🇸

In North Dakota our farmers and ranchers put food on the table, and we do it with the best beef out there! Thank you to the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association and their members for a delicious meal and conversation about challenges and opportunities facing their industry on National Beef Burger Day. We had a great discussion last night, and of course we enjoyed a great meal. Who doesn’t love a juicy burger, fries, and a root beer float on a beautiful North Dakota evening?

I joined business leaders from Fargo for a Working Families Tax Cut press conference hosted by Dan Kadrmas at TrueNorth Steel, alongside Terri Zimmerman of Packet Digital and Mike Arntson of Cardinal Glass.

Their firsthand testimony shows how pro-growth tax policies are helping businesses invest in new projects, expand operations, create jobs, and put more money back into the pockets of hardworking employees. These investments strengthen American manufacturing, support long-term economic growth, and help keep U.S. companies competitive on the global stage.

North Dakota businesses are driving innovation, contributing to our national security, and improving quality of life for families across our state. We must recognize how tax policies that support investment and growth can help build an even stronger future for our workers, businesses, and communities.

After the press conference, I toured TrueNorth Steel’s facility and participated in an employee town hall to hear directly from workers about the issues that matter most to them. Thanks for having me!
