Moore was an Irish writer, poet, and lyricist, widely regarded in his lifetime as Ireland's "national bard."

Remembering John Wayne (b. May 26, 1907-1979). Thousands of editorials were written about Wayne on his passing. The only actor, at the time, to be a transitive verb, according to this columnist. He ended by saying that John Wayne was "one of the darker sides of the American ideal."
You can't "John Wayne" everything. You must negotiate as appealing as "to John Wayne" something may look. Still, John Wayne was not a "dark side" of America. He was a Hollywood creation. Hollywood has created many "dark sides" of America. Why? Box office!
