This past weekend my district staff had the opportunity to attend Felts Field Neighbor Day Annual Airshow where aviation enthusiasts and industry leadership gathered to share the history of Spokane aviation. Thanks to Felts Field’s annual airshow, visitors can enjoy helicopter rides and learn about the training programs at our local community colleges that build next generation aviation specialists.

In honor of Memorial Day, my district staff attended several events throughout the district yesterday including Reardan and the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake. My office had the opportunity to hear from a Vietnam War Veteran and Marine Corps Silver Star Medal recipient who described how the lives of America's service members have contributed to peace and freedom to our country over the past 250 years. It was truly an honor to attend these services and reflect on the tremendous sacrifice our veterans have given to this nation.

Today, we remember and honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our nation. God bless our heroes, their families, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸
