New Black Panther Party (NBPP) is an organization that formed in 1989, to bring back the commitment, spirit and resolve of the Panther lost since the mid-seventies from a revolutionary black nationalist perspective with a Pan-Africanist worldview. Our purpose is to define, develop, and defend what’s in the best interest of black people which is called ‘ Black Power’. Black Nationalism means the
black people control the activities politically, economically, socially, educationally and culturally in our own community. Black People make up approximately 13% of the population of North America, and have contributed to all of the major advancements of this society; yet reap the least benefit of our social contributions. Black communities are gentrified by explotive businesses that are not owned by black people, nor are these businesses giving back to the black communities they exploit. Most of the black community in North America is policed by people who do not live in these communities or are not residents of the black communities they patrol,
The NBPP has a clear focus by a full ten-point program for complete social transformation of black reality and nine local objectives, based on uplifting, revitalizing, protecting, and educating the local black communities that we live in. We do this by transforming inner-city neighborhoods through the people that live there. We create a unity based on common struggle, culture, and consciousness making the once destructive mentality so ever prevalent in our environment, a productive mentality building a community that empowers the black people living in it. We encourage Black owned business to build black economics and employ black communities; we open black independent educational centers with our own curriculums to teach forgotten African histories, mathematics, science, and more not taught in the public school systems. We are our own political party, so that we are able to produce solid non-compromised black leadership that represents the black majority and the interest of black communities. We believe in shutting down exploitative black and non- black businesses setting the example for the rest of the black community. Our mission is to fulfill the basic needs of all black people in our community that need help, and overall becoming a powerful independent people. The Black Power Movement is back and stronger than ever & this is the perfect ideology, movement, and moment for Black people all over the world to participate in, invest in, and organize in. This is the time of universal change! This is an opportunity that we cannot miss.
