Chicago nurses win historic union vote to join National Nurses Organizing Committee Nurses at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, say they voted to join the union because it is critical that nurses have a say in making decisions about staffing and working conditions, which leads to improved patient care.
Union nurses from 22 different states traveled to D.C. to share the reality of bedside experiences with elected leaders.
With skyrocketing costs, our patients are delaying critical health care. And many are avoiding hospitals altogether from fear of ICE. We need our politicians to step up and fund care, not fear!

Today nurses at DC’s largest hospital protested systemic wage theft by management. MedStar Washington Hospital Center nurses are calling on the D.C. Attorney General to investigate rampant wage and hour violations in a formal complaint .
