Today, I met with President Small and the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council to discuss key priorities and strengthen our partnership.

Continuing our tour across Montana during Small Business Week, I stopped by Lammers Trading Post in Hardin, a family-owned Montana business that has served the community since 1916.

Businesses like Lammers are part of what makes Montana special. They support local jobs, strengthen our economy, and help carry on the traditions and values that define our state.

Today, I introduced the Accelerating Forest Management Act to speed up active forest management, reduce wildfire risk, and support rural economies.

Last year alone, Montana saw more than 2,400 wildfires. We need commonsense forest management tools to help prevent catastrophic fires before they start.

I enjoyed touring the new construction at Little Bighorn Battlefield and learning more about the ongoing efforts to enhance the visitor experience while preserving the site’s historic significance.

This week, I toured Yellowstone Park with Regenerative Land Solutions to hear concerns about bison overgrazing and public land management.

The concerns they raised deserve a closer look from every agency involved. Americans care deeply about preserving our national treasures, and management decisions should be rooted in science, balance, and common sense.

Montanans value both wildlife conservation and our agricultural heritage, and we should continue working to responsibly support both.

Yesterday, I visited Yellowstone Dig It Days in Billings! A great event that gives families hands-on experience with construction and emergency equipment while highlighting the importance of digging safety and careers in the skilled trades. Montana’s workforce is our future, and it’s great to see young people getting excited about these opportunities.

Good-paying Montana jobs depend on strong communities and reliable workforce housing. Great to see firsthand how this TIF-driven project is helping tackle affordability and availability challenges while bringing new life and economic growth to downtown Billings.

Great visiting the Billings Industrial Revitalization District today and seeing firsthand how redevelopment and reinvestment are bringing new life to downtown Billings. Supporting local businesses and manufacturers is key to long-term economic growth in Montana.

I met with the Gardiner Chamber of Commerce today to discuss the opportunities and challenges of being a gateway community built around tourism. Gardiner plays a vital role in Montana’s economy, and I was eager to hear directly from local leaders.
