Soldiers positioned at voting locations is not legal behavior.

These are Mississippi National Guard troops at a DC ballot dropbox yesterday. We know the presence of soldiers or law enforcement at voting locations like this discourages voting, especially from Black, Brown, and immigrant voters.

Tate Reeves,Governor Ron DeSantis and Governor Brian P. Kemp, get your troops out of DC NOW.

MAGA is trying everything they can to stop people from voting. The best way we can defy them in the next 25 days is to vote early and to make sure everyone you know does the same.

DoorDash messed up.

Withdrawing their support for a vicious attack on our communities is a good first step but itā€™s far from enough. We continue to demand the company denounce ICEā€™s violence that is affecting their drivers and communities across the country, and to state publicly that Trumpā€™s ā€œDC Safe and Beautiful Task Forceā€ should end.

Trumpā€™s soldiers and police were at yet another DC school today, this time Bard High School in Congress Heights.

Armed soldiers donā€™t make our children safer. Young people shouldnā€™t have to walk through a group of federal agents just to get home from school. These soldiers donā€™t know anything about how to interact with young people ā€” theyā€™re trained for disaster response, not teaching.

DoorDash doesnā€™t care that ICE agents are shooting their workers on the job. When asked to respond to ICEā€™s shooting and detention of Wilber Rafael GarcĆ©s PĆ©rez in Austin, TX, they gave an absolute non-answer. This after federal agents killed one of the companyā€™s workers in Maine and another on the Taft Bridge here in DC.

ā€œNone of this should have ever happenedā€ is how Congressman Greg Casar characterized this incident. Being on the right side isnā€™t hard.
