I spoke this week in Utah on the National Day of Prayer. Lincoln understood what every honest person in public life eventually learns: the work is too big for one person. Our own efforts are not enough.
250 years ago, the men who signed the Declaration of Independence knew it, too. They closed that document with a single line: “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.”
We must still rely on the protection of divine Providence. The right prayer today continues to be:
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
God bless Utah. God bless the United States of America.

Energy security is national security. Right now, we are far too dependent on China for the minerals that power our lives. We cannot let an adversary hold the keys to our supply chain.
Utah is the 2nd largest copper producer in the nation. We have the resources and the legacy to lead America out of this crisis.

I am a member of the Congressional Scouting Caucus.
Scouting teaches us that leadership is a duty. That we must stay mentally awake, morally straight, and helpful to others at all times. I strive to bring these values to my work every day.

Thank you to the American Academy of Ophthalmology for having me speak at their event today.
My fellow physicians and I have seen the burdens our healthcare system places on Americans. Burdens created by middlemen who have never held a patient’s hand, yet make decisions that affect them.
My experience guides my work, and I will continue to advocate for a better system.

Last week, my colleagues and I advanced Dalilah’s Law, closing the loopholes that allow illegal, unqualified drivers to operate commercial vehicles on American roads.
Dalilah was 5 years old when an unqualified driver who had no business holding a CDL got behind the wheel of an 80-ton truck. Her story should never have happened, and this bill fixes a broken system.
Grateful to the Coleman family for their courage in turning that pain into a fight to protect others. Proud to stand with them in moving this forward.

The strength of our nation starts with the well-being of our children.
I introduced the Healthy Lunch for Healthy Kids Act so our kids are set up to thrive. When children have access to nutritious food, they think more clearly, feel more stable, and grow into healthier, stronger adults.
I am committed to making sure America’s kids have what they need. Getting this right is our responsibility to the next generation.
Utah has been selected by and the FAA as a pilot site for next-generation electric aircraft.
I led the multi-state letter to , and this is exactly the outcome Utah worked for.
eVTOL tech is transforming aviation, and Utah is now one of the eight states tasked to lead. That means high-quality jobs, major investment, and a direct role in shaping the future of aviation.
America wins when Utah leads.
I spoke on the House floor to raise awareness for endometriosis, a condition affecting millions of women who wait years for a diagnosis. We need to do better.
I am co-hosting a special Capitol Hill screening of “Below the Belt” a film on endometriosis. Thanks to Mary Alice Marriott Hatch for her leadership on this issue.
I’m committed to pushing for earlier diagnoses, more research, and improved care for those who need it.
