Neighborhood recognition!

Me and my very late posts lol. It's Black History Month, so I'll drop it here now. Representing Central State University and Riggs Park at Alabama State's annual college fair.

Halloween in the community. Thanks to all who put together this event and all who came out!

This time last Saturday my nonprofit, Friends of Riggs-LaSalle Recreation Center, recently partnered with Lamond-Riggs Community Assocation, Faith Moravian Church, and local political offices for our fourth annual backpack giveaway. This year our group gave out close to 400 backbacks to DC school kids, which included various school supplies and information/resources promoting drug-free
living. There were also plenty of snacks and ice cream on hand for the kids, thanks to a generous donation. Our first year garnered about 25 backpacks. We are thankful and happy that this giveaway has grown considerably over the years through significant donations and grants. We appreciate everyone who participated in making these events a succes! 🙏🏾🎉🥰
