Join MPD Cadet Corps!
The MPD Cadet Corps is a specialized program for 17- to 24-year-old Washingtonians to serve as uniformed, civilian employees. As a member of the Cadet Corps, you will earn a salary, while also taking college courses, and earn an Associate’s Degree – putting you on track to enter MPD’s Police Officer Recruit Program.

Week 1 of MPD’s Cadets Expeditioners Program started today at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School. Over the course of the next 8 weeks, students will attend training sessions learning more about MPD’s daily operations. Officer Mohammed Kakay, Lead Program Coordinator Damon Johnson and MPD Cadets Allen, West, and Ballinger led today’s session and provided a demonstration on MPD’s equipment.

🎁 Merry Trunkmas, everyone! 🎁
Our MPD Cadets hosted a toy drive event called “Trunkmas” at Ketcham Elementary, spreading holiday cheer. Students participated by choosing gifts from festively decorated MPD patrol vehicles and learned about staying safe during the holiday season.
