This handsome- but grouchy fellow- was perfectly happy to stay where he was, and become road kill. I finally found a stick thick enough, he couldn’t immediately snap it iin two pieces,I started carrying him by the taill -when he dropped the stick and reached back for me- I rolled him down the hill accidentally! I went down to upright him, and as soon as I turned him over , he was mad and ready to bite! I scrambled up the hil and I will be darned if he didn’t follow me a good 12 inches!
