Glad to see a judge’s recent decision to halt President Trump’s unethical slush fund for January 6 rioters and MAGA insiders. I introduced legislation to impose a 100 percent tax on any payments from this fund because no insurrectionist or rioter should receive the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people.

Thank you Liz Smith with Charsaw Farms and Peter Rumble with the Napa County Farm Bureau for the tour of a beautiful lavender farm and to discuss the diversity of the agriculture in our district. Lavender is a critical crop for our farmers given its drought resistance, importance to pollinators, and the numerous products our farming community can produce from it.

Four years ago today, a gunman opened fire in the Natalie Building at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, killing four people, including three hospital staff. Today, we remember their lives and the immense loss felt by their families, colleagues, and community. We honor their service and recommit to ending the epidemic of gun violence in our country.

Our community is safer when we invest in the best equipment, talent, and resources to respond to emergencies. I'm proud to have secured over $1 million for a new emergency operations center in Rio Vista. Thank you to the local leaders who helped identify the need for this funding and to our first responders!

Good to see the court temporarily blocked the President’s political slush fund. I introduced legislation to impose a 100 percent tax on any payments from this fund because no insurrectionist or rioter should receive the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people.
