Team Murphy was honored to attend the MCI East–Camp Lejeune Commanding General’s Spring Reception. The event brought together Marine spouses, community leaders, and valued partners from across Eastern North Carolina for an evening of appreciation and connection.

It was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the strong partnerships and unwavering support that help sustain our military families and ensure the continued success of the installation’s mission. We are grateful for all those who stand behind our service members each and every day.

Beyond Blackbeard: Work at renamed conservation lab goes deeper and wider than one shipwreck 04/09/2026

Eastern North Carolina continues to lead not just in innovation, but in preserving the rich history that defines our state.

In Greenville, the newly renamed Office of State Archaeology Conservation Lab is doing incredible work to conserve artifacts from Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge, Native American dugout canoes, and historic shipwrecks across North Carolina.

I’m proud to have this lab right here in our district and grateful for the experts who are keeping our history alive!

Egregious, profit-driven practices employed by insurance companies are wreaking havoc on American healthcare. I’m proud to fight for what’s right in Congress.

Patients must come before profit!

Today, on World Health Day, we are reminded that good health is the foundation of strong families, thriving communities, and a prosperous nation.

As a physician, I have seen firsthand how important access to quality, affordable care is for every American. We must continue working to put patients first, lower costs, and strengthen our healthcare system for future generations.

North Topsail Beach continues to rebuild and recover from the impacts of Hurricane Florence, and this federal support is an important step forward.

FEMA has awarded more than $6 million in funding to North Topsail Beach to complete permanent repairs to its engineered beach and dunes. These repairs address significant damage from storm surge, heavy rainfall, and wave action and will help restore the shoreline to its pre-storm condition.

Strong, resilient coastal infrastructure is essential for protecting homes, businesses, and the local economy in Eastern North Carolina. I’m proud to support FEMA and will continue working to ensure our communities have the resources they need to thrive.

Today, on Good Friday, we pause in solemn reflection on the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave His life on the cross at Calvary for our sins.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

May we remember His sacrifice and the promise of redemption it brings. God bless.

Glad to meet with representatives from DuBose National Energy Services to learn more about their work and discuss the positive impact new nuclear energy projects could have on North Carolina.

Expanding nuclear energy both domestically and internationally means creating good-paying jobs, driving innovation, and ensuring reliable, affordable power for families and businesses across our state.

As a physician and a Member of Congress, I understand the importance of forward-thinking solutions that strengthen our economy while supporting long-term energy security. I appreciate the opportunity to continue this important conversation.

Greg Murphy: Working Families act will benefit tax filers this season 04/01/2026

This tax-filing season, American families and children are benefiting enormously from the Working Families Tax Cut that Republicans passed last year. In fact, tax refund amounts are more than 10 percent higher this filing season.

As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I helped write and pass the Working Families Tax Cut into law.

Making life more affordable for you is my top priority. We've accomplished a lot so far, and we must continue to work to build an economy that uplifts all Americans.

Eastern North Carolina has a front-row seat to history.

Jacksonville native Christina Koch is part of the Artemis II crew, the first crewed mission in NASA’s effort to return Americans to the Moon and pave the way for future missions to Mars.

This is a proud moment for our region and a testament to the talent and determination of our communities.

The launch is currently scheduled for this Wednesday, April 1st, at 6:24 PM. We’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.
