In Greenville, the newly renamed Office of State Archaeology Conservation Lab is doing incredible work to conserve artifacts from Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge, Native American dugout canoes, and historic shipwrecks across North Carolina.

I’m proud to have this lab right here in our district and grateful for the experts who are keeping our history alive!

Beyond Blackbeard: Work at renamed conservation lab goes deeper and wider than one shipwreck A Greenville research facility named for the most famous vessel in Blackbeard’s fleet is being renamed as the state’s flagship conservation lab.

Today, on World Health Day, we are reminded that good health is the foundation of strong families, thriving communities, and a prosperous nation.

As a physician, I have seen firsthand how important access to quality, affordable care is for every American. We must continue working to put patients first, lower costs, and strengthen our healthcare system for future generations.

North Topsail Beach continues to rebuild and recover from the impacts of Hurricane Florence, and this federal support is an important step forward.

FEMA has awarded more than $6 million in funding to North Topsail Beach to complete permanent repairs to its engineered beach and dunes. These repairs address significant damage from storm surge, heavy rainfall, and wave action and will help restore the shoreline to its pre-storm condition.

Strong, resilient coastal infrastructure is essential for protecting homes, businesses, and the local economy in Eastern North Carolina. I’m proud to support FEMA and will continue working to ensure our communities have the resources they need to thrive.

This tax-filing season, American families and children are benefiting enormously from the Working Families Tax Cut that Republicans passed last year. In fact, tax refund amounts are more than 10 percent higher this filing season.

As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I helped write and pass the Working Families Tax Cut into law.

Jacksonville native Christina Koch is part of the Artemis II crew, the first crewed mission in NASA’s effort to return Americans to the Moon and pave the way for future missions to Mars.

This is a proud moment for our region and a testament to the talent and determination of our communities.

The launch is currently scheduled for this Wednesday, April 1st, at 6:24 PM. We’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.
