Today Milestone Contractors will begin roadway improvements on County Road 450S from Old Lane Drive to 50W as part of the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program. The project will utilize cold in place asphalt recycling, an environmentally friendly and cost efficient pavement rehabilitation method that reduces waste and lowers material usage.
Work Schedule:
• This Wednesday–Friday: Crews will mill the existing pavement along the project limits.
• Monday, August 10 – Friday August 14: Application of the recycling treatment is scheduled.
• Afterward, crews will allow the roadway’s moisture content to reach acceptable levels before placing the final asphalt prior to Friday, August 28.
Drivers should expect periodic delays, flagging operations, and reduced speeds throughout the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area when possible. These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, durable, and sustainable roadway infrastructure.

On or after Wednesday May 6, Milestone is scheduled to begin the City’s 2026 Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) project. As part of this project, asphalt resurfacing work will take place on Marr Road from Jolinda Drive to 25th Street.

Asphalt overlay is completed in three separate stages: patching, milling and final asphalt surface. Each step is executed by different crews at different times, so crews will leave and return as the process moves forward. After patching or milling, the road may appear rough or unfinished, however that is normal. Crews will return to complete the remaining steps and restore the road surface.

Please consider taking an alternate route while construction is underway. If you must travel in the area, please use caution, follow instructions for flag personnel and don’t drive distracted.
