It has been one month since Montique Gaston was lost to our broader community. As neighbors, friends, and co-sponsors alongside the Staunton Branch NAACP and Building Bridges for the Greater Good, our hearts remain with Montique’s family, his children, and all who loved him.

Grief and seeking answers can feel lonely, but no family should have to walk through this alone. We want them to know that Montique’s life mattered, and our commitment to supporting them in love, truth, and transparency is as strong as ever.

Tomorrow afternoon, we stand side by side with our Staunton neighbors for a peaceful community walk and press conference. We invite our Waynesboro community to come walk with us, lift up his memory, and offer comfort to those left behind.

🗓 Thursday, October 22, 2026
⏰ Gathering Time: 4:30 p.m.
📍 Meeting Location: Central United Methodist Church parking lot (14 N. Lewis Street, Staunton)
🚶 Destination: Augusta County Courthouse Plaza (1 East Johnson Street)

Whether you bring a peaceful sign, a neighbor, or simply your presence, your support means the world. Let’s wrap this family in love and show them they are not forgotten. 💙💛

Preaching law & order while backing a convicted felon isn't a platform. It's a confession.

She said what she said. Now watch MAGA explain why 34 felonies don't count. I'll wait.

On this Sunday, maybe you’re enjoying a day off before the alarm rings on Monday. Or maybe you’re working a shift in one of the thousands of indispensable jobs that keep our country running. Either way, you deserve a president who will work as hard as you do to make your life better – not his. But change is coming. Elect Democrats to Congress on Nov. 3.
