Throw back! Here is a picture of the old Murray Fire Department from 1980 in town before moving to their current location East of the Village along Hwy 1. This space used to house the Murray Fire Department and the Village Town Hall (upstairs). This building has since been demolished and the current Village Town Hall Building sits in its place!

It’s Child Passenger Safety Week, and we want to make sure our smallest passengers are riding as safely as possible!

Correctly used car seats can significantly reduce a child’s risk of serious injury in a crash, but the right seat, proper installation, and harness fit all matter.

Cass County EMS Paramedic Katie Lunzmann is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and is available by appointment! 🚑💙

She can help check:
• Car seat selection and installation
• Harness positioning and fit
• Rear-facing, forward-facing, booster, and seat belt questions

Katie and her contact information can be found with the link in the comments!

A quick can make a big difference. Help us keep Cass County’s littlest passengers safe!

All of us at Cass County EMS would like to wish Paramedic Brandon Houser nothing but success as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career as a Registered Nurse!

During his time with our agency, Brandon has undoubtedly touched MANY lives. He has been an incredible asset to our department. — Helping train new employees, contributing to improvements in patient care, and sharing his knowledge and experience.

Brandon has also been a vital part of caring for some of our most critical patients. His clinical judgment, and willingness to step up when it mattered most have made a difference on some very challenging calls, including being involved in critical interventions and even performing a surgical cricothyrotomy during his time with Cass County.

While Brandon will be leaving his full-time position with Cass County EMS, we’re happy to say this isn’t goodbye for good! He will continue working with us as a PRN Paramedic, helping cover open shifts and remaining a part of the Cass County EMS Family.

Brandon, thank you for your friendship, dedication, professionalism, and service to Cass County EMS and the patients we serve. We are excited to watch you take this next step in your career and know you’ll continue making a difference wherever you go.

Through coordinated efforts with area departments, treatment, sound critical decision-making, and rapid medical intervention, all patients were successfully resuscitated with full intact neurologic function.
