A great day for Jackson’s Mill and Lewis County! 🎉

Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand reopening of the renovated Jackson Lodge at WVU Jackson’s Mill—a place that holds special memories for generations of West Virginians.

This renovation was made possible through the generosity of the Mary Jane Glasscock Estate. Hearing her daughter, Susan Arnold, share her mother’s connection to 4-H and Jackson’s Mill made the celebration especially meaningful. What a wonderful legacy to leave for future generations!

Thank you to President Michael Benson, Dean Jorge Atiles, Director Dave Snively, and everyone who helped bring this project to life. We’re fortunate to have Jackson’s Mill here in Lewis County, and it’s exciting to see this investment in its future!

Thank you to Congressman Riley M. Moore for securing $1.5 million for Corridor H sewer improvements in Weston and Lewis County. This investment will help us move forward with infrastructure needed to support growth along one of our county’s most important corridors.

As additional sections of Corridor H open, we anticipate more traffic and new opportunities. Preparing now will help position Lewis County for future business, housing, and economic development. We appreciate Congressman Moore’s support for our community!

Leadership Lewis- Session Two

Today, Leadership Lewis Cohort 4 met for their second session at TALA to discuss useful insights regarding AI, travel and tourism, hospitality, and ethical leadership. The group also took a historical tour of TALA, and the Family Table provided a fantastic lunch. To wrap up the evening, the group took a trip to Extreme Adventures at the Lewis County Park for a round of mini golf. What a great time! The group will hold its next session in November at the American Glass Museum.
