This past weekend, Westport BNI walked together at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and we’re proud to share that our team raised $6,565, beating our $6,000 goal! 💜
This walk is organized by our own member, Cheryl Podob. It’s the largest Alzheimer’s walk in Connecticut and the 26th largest in the country, with about 2,500 walkers this year.
Each flower in the Promise Garden has a meaning:
💜 Purple for someone lost to the disease
💛 Yellow for someone caring for a loved one
🧡 Orange for supporting the cause
Our team carried all three.
Thank you to Cheryl for the work she puts into this event every year, and to every member, family member, and friend who walked or donated. This is what a networking group looks like when it shows up for its community.
