We are saddened to hear about the passing of our friend and member, Brenda Elrod, after a battle with cancer.

To know Brenda is to love her. Her presence always brightened the room she was in and we are grateful for all of the years we got to serve her!

Her funeral will be on Monday, November 2nd at 11am located at Sullivan Funeral Home. We will be taking members on our bus who need a ride to the service and still have a few seats available. Please call our office at 940-692-2303 if you need a ride!

Hometown Pumpkin Patch dropped off pumpkins for our HERO House members recently 🎃 We're so grateful for all ways people support our members. Sometimes it's quietly bringing pumpkins to make our members' day a little bit brighter. Every bit of support means the world to us!

It's National Disability Employment Awareness Month! We love to see those we serve working in the community. Give a shoutout to the businesses in our area who employ someone with disabilities!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and this year’s theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent." People with disabilities bring skills, creativity, and perspective that strengthen every workplace. Yet, hiring barriers and bias still shut many out. Only about 38% of people with disabilities are employed, compared to 75% of those without disabilities. This month is a chance to raise awareness, challenge bias, and promote inclusive practices that benefit everyone.
