Representative Avery Anderson

“I’m going to celebrate when he dies.”

That’s what Matthew Smith says about the President in this video.

Disagreeing with someone politically is one thing. Celebrating their death is another.

Watch the video. Hear his words. Decide for yourself whether Matthew Smith is fit to represent you in Topeka.

I had a great time this weekend in Sedgwick attending the ribbon cutting for the new fire station and walking in the fall festival parade. It was great to catch up with everyone!

This is great news for Newton and our state.

X-BAT announced that Newton will be home to X-Forge 2, where the company will conduct flight testing and sustainment for X-BAT.

I’m excited to see this kind of investment by Shield AI coming to our community. We have a great workforce, a strong aviation tradition, and a lot to offer companies looking to grow in Kansas.

I’m looking forward to seeing the large number of new jobs and opportunities here at home and across our region.

Built in Washington. Flown and sustained right here in Newton, Kansas.

Pretty exciting stuff for our community.

Twenty-five years.

"Let's roll." Todd Beamer's last words, and forty ordinary people on Flight 93 decided what was going to happen next.

Today we remember them, the 2,977 lost, the first responders who ran toward the danger, and everyone who answered in the years since.

Never forget.

Happy Labor Day! Today we honor the spirit of the American worker. From Newton to Sedgwick and all over Harvey County, that spirit shows up every morning and gets the job done.

Thank you for the work you do. Enjoy the day off if you got one.

Happy 94th Birthday to my grandpa! If you’re around town today, stop in the store and say hi, he would love it!

For those who supported me last night, thank you.

This was a hard-fought race. My focus all along was on the people of our district, our families, our neighbors, and our businesses. Thank you to everyone who joined our campaign and helped us get our message out. You knocked doors, put out signs, made calls, and prayed for us. I will not forget it.

To every voter in this district, whether I earned your vote or not, I work for you. That does not change. It will be my honor and privilege to keep fighting for all of us in Topeka.

Today we get back to work talking to voters. November is coming, and I am ready.

God bless Newton and the 72nd District.

Tomorrow is Election Day.

I have knocked your doors, answered your questions, and stood on my record. The leaders and organizations on this list stood with me. Tomorrow I am asking you to do the same.

Polls close at 7:00 PM. I would be honored to have your vote.

Kansas opened the HERO Act this week. This helps our law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS pay for mental health treatment when they're dealing with trauma from the job. The state has put $1 million dollars behind it, and first responders can apply for reimbursement now.

I'm proud to have helped usher this pilot program through the Transportation and Public Safety Budget Committee, which I chair, and the Appropriations process.

Our first responders show up for us every time we call. We ought to show up for them.

Kansas has opened reimbursement requests for a new first responder mental health program.

The Kansas State Troopers Association has endorsed my campaign for reelection to the Kansas House.

As chairman of the House Transportation and Public Safety Budget Committee, I supported and passed funding for hearing protection as well as spearheaded a pilot program to address PTSD in our law enforcement community. I make sure the Highway Patrol has what it needs to do the job safely.

The men and women who patrol our roads know who backs them. I am proud to have their endorsement.

Stand with law enforcement and vote for Avery Anderson on or before August 4.
