That’s why Wesley Healthcare is joining HCA Healthcare facilities across the country to help make safe medication disposal more accessible. In partnership with the Wichita Police Department, we’re hosting our take back day event on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Wesley Medical Center. You can drive up right under the parking garage canopy to drop off your items without having to leave your vehicle.

Take back day provides a safe and anonymous way to dispose of medications you no longer need, including those left over from previous procedures or medical visits.

Our volunteers are helping make a difference in pediatric care! 🧡

This summer, Wesley Medical Center volunteers organized a donation drive to support our Child Life specialists, who help children and families navigate the hospital experience through age-appropriate activities, play and emotional support.

Led by Wesley volunteer Becky Austin, the effort brought together donations of puzzles, toys, coloring books, games, art supplies and other items to help bring comfort and moments of joy to young patients.

Wesley Children's Hospital features more than 50 pediatric specialists and subspecialists in a variety of medical specialties while working to support children's emotional and developmental needs alongside their medical care.

A mammogram is more than another appointment — it’s a proactive step that can help protect your health. 💗

Wesley Healthcare recently presented the Greater Wichita YMCA with a $25,000 grant from HCA Healthcare’s Healthier Tomorrows Fund to support its LIVESTRONG program.

The free, evidence-based program helps cancer survivors and their families rebuild strength, improve quality of life and find support after treatment. This grant will help reduce barriers to participation, provide trained instructors and resources, and expand access to a caring community for more people impacted by cancer.

Safe medication disposal is one way we can help make our communities healthier. This October, Wesley Healthcare is joining HCA Healthcare facilities across the country for the eighth annual “Crush the Crisis” national prescription drug take back day, held in alignment with the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

You can help Wesley Healthcare and the Wichita Police Department by removing medications you no longer need from your home and bringing them to our upcoming collection event.

For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.
