πŸ‘ Help us celebrate Mr. Blythe McDaniel, a Munson Primary School Teacher, as our Horizon Award Nominee! πŸ‘

Mr. McDaniel was nominated by his mentor, Mrs. Stefani Roach, and supported by colleagues and parents for KSDE’s Kansas Horizon Award, which recognizes outstanding first-year teachers for their teaching skills and dedication to student learning.

Even as a first year teacher, Mr. McDaniel’s positive impact was evident through the relationships he built with students and families. One parent shared: β€œOur family trusted that our son was known, valued, and cared for in Mr. McDaniel’s classroom.”

Congratulations on your Horizon Award nomination, Mr. McDaniel! Thank you for making a difference for our students and families! Thank you, Mrs. Roach, and all of our mentors, for supporting new teachers! 🐾

Have a little Wildcat who may be eligible for Pre-K or have questions about your child’s development?

If your child will be 3 or 4 years old on August 31, 2027, and you’re interested in Mulvane Pre-K for the 2027–2028 school year, we’d love to hear from you! We offer full-day and half-day options. A Child Find developmental screening is part of the process for considering Pre-K placement.

Children who turn 5 on or before August 31, 2027, are kindergarten-eligible for next school year and are no longer eligible for Pre-K for 2027–2028. However, if you have concerns about your child’s development now, please reach out! You do not need to wait until kindergarten to discuss screening and possible supports or services for this school year.

πŸ”— Visit our Pre-K webpage for more information and to complete the screening request form, or scan the QR code in the flyer.

Submitting the form notifies our early childhood team so we can contact you to discuss your child’s needs and schedule an upcoming Child Find screening.

Questions? Contact [email protected]. πŸ’š Please share with families who may be interested.

πŸš’πŸ”₯ **Fire Safety Week!** πŸ”₯πŸš’

Our Munson Primary students had a fun and educational visit with the Mulvane Fire Department as part of Fire Safety Week!

Students got an up-close look at a big fire engine and even got to take a little tour around the truck. It was a great opportunity to learn more about fire safety and the important work our local firefighters do to keep our community safe. ❀️

A big thank you to the Mulvane Fire Department for spending time with our Wildcats! 🐾

Happy National Coaches Day! πŸ†πŸ’š

Today, we celebrate the coaches who give their time, energy, and passion to help our student-athletes grow both on and off the field.

Coaches do much more than teach the game. They build confidence, teach teamwork and perseverance, provide encouragement, and help our students learn lessons that last far beyond the final whistle.

To all of our USD263 coaches β€” thank you for the countless hours, the early mornings, the late nights, and the commitment you show to our students every day.

We appreciate everything you do for our Wildcats! πŸΎπŸ’š

Happy National Coaches Day!
