Following the daughter's request, I removed my shoes and joined them at the dining room table, where her mother was ready to finalize the seller's packet for her Missouri home. We ran into an issue when we discovered that the title company had incorrectly spelled her name on the paperwork. While her daughter contacted the title company, I reached out to the signing agency that arranged the appointment with me. Together, we managed to resolve the situation so the signing could proceed. What was supposed to take an hour ended up taking 2 1/2 hours. The mother thoroughly read each page before signing, asked numerous questions, prompting her daughter to call the title company for clarification, and they made copies of every document. Both mother and daughter were grateful that I took the time to explain the documents and allowed them to review, print, and communicate with the title company. I ensured they felt at ease with finalizing the sale of a home that held 53 years of cherished memories.
