A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers who supported Helping Hands Resource Center this month.
Together we organized donations, replenished our food pantry, labeled supplies, deep cleaned our office, and helped create a more welcoming space for the community we serve.
Your time, compassion, and willingness to serve truly make a difference. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.
Community happens when people come together to care for one another.
Thank you for supporting HHRC and the families, survivors, and youth we serve.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Mental health matters at every stage of life. Healing is not always linear, and no one should have to struggle alone. At Helping Hands Resource Center, we believe in creating safe, trauma-informed spaces where individuals and families feel supported, heard, and connected.
Your mental health matters. Healing matters. Community matters.

We are deeply grateful to Councilmember Bob Blumenfield for his generous $10,000 community investment in support of Helping Hands Resource Center 💜
This support helps us continue operating our Free Community Closet and provide clothing, hygiene items, non-perishable food, and essential resources to individuals and families in need with dignity and care.
We are thankful for community leaders who believe in supporting survivors, strengthening families, and investing in healing-centered community care.
Together, real change happens.

Today we honor mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, survivors, aunties, mentors, foster moms, teachers, and every nurturing woman who leads with love and compassion. We also celebrate women who are not mothers yet but still care deeply for others every day. Motherhood is not defined by biology alone, but by love, presence, and care. Your love makes the world softer, stronger, and more beautiful. 💜
