“Compassion for people, excellence in service”
At Forsyth County EMS, caring for our community goes far beyond responding to 911 calls!
One of our EMS crews recently took the initiative to put together a Community Bag, filled with items intended to help individuals in need throughout our community. This thoughtful project is a reminder that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
EMT Weinberg shared the inspiration behind the project:
“I came up with the idea because my mom used to do something similar when I was growing up! She kept shoeboxes full of hygiene items and snacks in the car to give out to people in the community who needed them. I was talking to my partner (AEMT Mabe) about how we wished we could offer more to some of our transient patients and we came up with the community care bags!”
We are incredibly proud of our team members who continue to find meaningful ways to serve others, both on and off duty. Their compassion, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond truly reflect what it means to serve our community.
