Maine's race for governor is tied just one week before Election Day, with Republican Bobby Charles and Democrat Hannah Pingree each receiving 44% support among likely voters, according to a new Marist poll released Tuesday.

The poll, conducted October 22–25, also found independent candidate Rick Bennett receiving 6% support, with another 6% of voters undecided. While the two major-party candidates are tied among likely voters, Pingree leads Charles by 11 points among all registered voters. The likely-voter results have a margin of error of 6.6 percentage points.

If you're like me, you might have wondered about these condos in Hallowell. Today I learned they were purchased last year for $2.7 million by Noora Abd, the ringleader of a $50 million welfare scam.

The indictment: Community Home Health Care LLC; owner Noora Abd, 37; Faysal Kalayaf Manahe, 51; Adel Al Rashid, 47; Sura Almohammed, 47; Ethar Alyaseen, 46; and Mohammed Alkhalaf, 41. All are charged with health care fraud conspiracy. Alkhalaf is also charged with lying to the FBI, and Abd and Manahe with obstruction.

The scheme operated out of a building that just so happened to be the home of the Iraqi Community Association of Maine.

I have never been inclined to run for office at any level. I was content to be a good Son, a faithful Husband, a providing Dad, a proud Grandpa, and just live life trying to do good things. But here I am.... the amount of constant outpouring of well wishes and support is so incredibly encouraging!!
Thank you everyone for the inspiration to keep going, it truly means so much! 🙏
