Scooter Chronicles Volume 3 Episode 6 🛴

Today I had the pleasure of welcoming some new residents to Woonsocket. One on Viva Lane who happens to be from and owns a business in Central Falls. They toured the city and thought Woonsocket was a city on the move.Jairo, it was an honor to meet and great you. I hope to represent you on the council.

The 2nd owner moved from East Providence who fell in love with their house on Madeline Street. The value of their home and neighborhood drew them to Woonsocket.
WELCOME!

So many great people on Annette, Madeline, Viva, and all streets from the bottom of Elder Ballou to the top (right side). They want what everyone else wants, the plaza to be more vibrant with stores and a supermarket.

Most didn't know of the holiday stroll and the small business pop ups, so it was nice to promote that at the door.

I heard the need for a safer Woonsocket, more vibrant, cleaner Woonsocket. The need for proven results from our social service programs around the city. The need of this safer community to entice big business like a Cosco to come to the city.

I'M HEARING YOU WOOONSOOCKET! Let's work together to make these things happen!

WOONSOCKET – Damon Flynn, candidate for Woonsocket City Council, said in a campaign press release, “I’m a father, homeowner, active community volunteer, and proud Woonsocket resident of 15 years. I serve as a Woonsocket Housing Authority commissioner, coach youth sports, and volunteer at the Stadium Theatre.”

“One of the most important parts of my campaign has been listening,” Flynn said. “I’ve walked thousands of doors, visited local businesses, and heard firsthand what residents want for our city.”

Flynn said he also wants to be one of Woonsocket’s biggest cheerleaders, promoting businesses, community events, and everything the city has to offer.

I want to help attract visitors, encourage investment, and bring more activity into Woonsocket,” he said. “I believe leadership starts with listening, working together, and finding solutions that move our city forward.”

“As an independent candidate, I would appreciate your support and consideration, whether you vote early or on November 3rd.”

Thank you to the folks on East Orchard, Orchard, Summit, and Collins Street last night for taking the time to talk with me .

Residents concerns:
*No big stores left in the city & Economic Development
*Affordable Housing - they said we have enough, perhaps time to retract if possible
*Open drug use seen

The house in the video is from 1901, and it's enclosed porch was extraordinary!
