Local artists Ava D’Eon, Jean-Sebastien Duvilaire (with JSSDance), Cesar Rodrigues, Samuel Sjostedt and Isiah Tucker (with Inner Voice Outer Change) have been selected for HCxWCC's 2026 summer creative residencies at the Prior Performing Arts Center at the College of the Holy Cross through its Scholarship in Action at Holy Cross program, the final year of a three-year partnership between the College, the city's Cultural Development Division, and the Worcester Cultural Coalition. Stay tuned this summer for updates on the exciting work being done by these artists-in-residence!

On Monday, the municipality was excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the South Division Fire Station.

The municipality is replacing a culvert that crosses Salisbury Street in the vicinity of Whisper Drive. Work began June 1, 2026 and will continue through the summer and into the fall.

Last week the municipality, in partnership with El Buen Samaritano Food Program Inc. Worcester, MA (EBS) and the American Red Cross, hosted a press conference to announce a partnership to assist individuals who have been displaced from their residence following a disaster.
