East-West Club members Brittany and Megan hiked Tetasset through the trail’s western terminus today to install location-specific QR codes! Each QR brings you to a page that will show you local trail conditions and features a digital trail register, among other reference info. QR codes are now installed on the enter western leg through to Hadwen Arboretum! (sans Columbus Park which is closed for construction, more to come on that soon)

Beaver Brook Park and the neighborhood that surrounds the historic green space is rich with history, culture, and diversity. Worcester's East-West Trail traverses the park and Park Spirit's newest directional/historic kiosk works to bring that history and culture back into the public discourse!
Next Thursday, Park Spirit is hosting a presentation and walk at the Beaver Brook Park kiosk, which will spotlight the research of Clark University History Professor Janette Greenwood and local historian Frank Morrill on the early 20th century settlement of people of color in the Beaver Brook Neighborhood. Their story is told through archived photographs by former neighborhood resident William Bullard, some of which are reproduced on Beaver Brook Park's East-West Trail kiosk.
