New Jasper Township Fire Department is currently hosting an Ohio Level I Firefighter course through Clark State College. The students represent multiple Greene County fire departments including 3 students from New Jasper FD. Today they are training on fire hose, hose streams, and hose appliances which are deployed on every fire scene. This particular class started their training in July and will complete their state certification in early December. We wish the students the best of luck and to keep up their hard work and dedication to serving their communities.

Great news for New Jasper Township and Jefferson Township!

The New Jasper Township Fire Department has received a $4,500 Ohio EMS Grant to purchase two new AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators). One AED will be assigned to our Command Vehicle and the other to Engine 14, ensuring quicker access to lifesaving care during cardiac emergencies.

These AEDs will complement the Advanced Life Support (ALS) capabilities already provided by Medic 14 and Medic 17, allowing firefighters to begin rapid defibrillation and critical interventions when an ambulance is not yet on scene. Early defibrillation can significantly improve outcomes for patients experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, making these devices an important addition to our emergency response resources.

This grant helps us better serve our residents and visitors by improving our ability to respond when every second counts.
