Directors Joanna Morris and Christine Hawkins both hail from the Virgin Islands, with Joanna being born and raised on the island of Tortola, and Christine on Virgin Gorda. While Joanna held the position of People & Welfare Manager at Necker and Moskito Islands, Christine returned to the BVI after living in Canada and applied for a role to join that team.

What grew from this working relationship was a wonderful partnership, and the drive to start their own venture, offering both HR support and support in government applications to the Virgin Islands community (the Vital link!).

The name Mohawk is an organic amalgamation of Morris and Hawkins, and we feel that this joining of our names and the hands on the logo only serve to underline the supportive nature of our business. As the founding team, Joanna and Christine continue to support one another and with that the team extend that sentiment to company’s clients.

Good morning all. Mohawk Business Services will be going to Tortola on the car barge tomorrow (Wednesday). VG residents, do let us know if we can help with collection/drop-off to avoid unnecessary travel. We are here to help you keep your distance!

During this time of uncertainty, Mohawk Business Services will be continuing their inter-island services via the car barge. On Thursday, March 26 we will be leaving VG on the 8am barge to Trellis and returning either on the 1pm or 6pm barge, subject to demand. Let us help you to keep your distance!
