After some requests over the past few months, bringing officials to see the condition, showing the extent of problems it causes, we’re happy to see this access road being cast today.

The BVI DDM has issued a flash flood warning in effect until 6am Friday October 17,2025. Be be sure to drive with caution on the roads. We will continue to monitor the weather and roads and update as needed.

This system is drawing moist and unstable air across the Virgin Islands, resulting in periods of cloudiness, occasional showers, and isolated thunderstorms. Flash flood watch in effect until 6am for the Territory.

Conditions: Cloudy skies with occasional showers and a chance of thunderstorms, particularly during the late-night and morning hours.
Advisory: Some showers could be heavy at times, localised ponding on roads is possible.
Temperature: Low near 80°F (27°C).
Winds: Southwest at 10–20 mph (16–32 km/h).
Seas: 3–5 ft (0.9–1.5 m); moderate in open waters.

We are happy to see the progress on the Sarawell Bypass road. As of today September 17,2025, all areas has been cast. These works have revitalized a road that was riddled with huge pot holes which resulted in many vehicles being damaged. This road will be reopened to the public by the weekend. Thank you for your patience.

As promised last week, our Director and team along with engineers from a local firm visited the damaged culverts and roads along the Mango Bay to Nail Bay exit area today. Now that the engineering firm has visited the sites, works will now begin on the designs and recommendations for each damaged area.

Today our Director, Deputy and Engineer came to Virgin Gorda to inspect the areas heavily damaged by the floods from hurricane Erin. Works will begin shortly on the redesign of the drains in the areas affected along with removal, redesign and replacement of the damaged road area.

Our crews are on the road in 2 locations working. Our efforts to clear all roads of debris continues. We are in The Valley and on the Mahoe Bay road currently.
Please note the road between Nailbay(from the cattle guard) to Hog Heaven is CLOSED until further notice.
Road update. The main road from the Valley to North Sound has been cleared. Crews are currently getting ready to start in the Valley and clearing Mango bay into Nail Bay. Please continue to exercise caution on the road.
