The Maintenance Team at the Bureau of School Construction and Maintenance in the St. Croix District proudly assisted VIDE with preparations for the โWeek of the Young Childโ celebration! From setup to support, our team was happy to lend a helping hand to create a welcoming and fun environment for our students and families.

The Bureau of School Construction and Maintenance (BSCM) St. Croix Maintenance Team is hard at work! ๐ง๐
Our dedicated in-house team, led by our Deputy Director, Jayson Parrilla, is currently performing roof repairs at the VIDE Human Resources Office, ensuring the space remains safe, secure, and comfortable for staff.
At BSCM, we remain committed to maintaining and improving the facilities that support the important work being done across the educational facilities in the Virgin Islands.

Yesterday, the Bureau of School Construction and Maintenance had the pleasure of hosting Kieran Santos, a student of CAHS and proud member of Parrot Gang Troupe 516, who stepped into the role of Executive Director for the day as a part of the Parrot Gang Future Leadership Day Exercise! ๐
Kieran spent the day learning about the important work we do to maintain and improve our schools across the territory. From project discussions to leadership insights, he got a firsthand look at what it takes to help keep our school facilities running smoothly.
It was truly a pleasure having him with us. The future is bright with young leaders like Kieran showing interest in public service and infrastructure that supports education. ๐๐ฝ

The Bureau of School Construction and Maintenance proudly stepped into the arena this year for our first-ever participation in the Battle of the Agencies (BOA) โ and what an amazing experience it was! ๐
From teamwork to friendly competition, our team had an incredible time representing BSCM, building camaraderie, and enjoying the spirit of unity among government agencies. It was truly a day filled with energy, laughter, and great memories. ๐ช๐ฝ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
A special thank you to the Division of Personnel USVI and Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation for organizing such a fantastic event that brings agencies together in the spirit of wellness and teamwork.
And of course, congratulations to the 2026 BOA Champions โ the Office of Disaster Recovery! ๐ Well deserved!
Weโre also looking forward to heading to St. Croix in the next two weeks to continue the excitement! ๐ฅ

This important milestone strengthens our commitment to ensuring reliable power and a safe, uninterrupted learning environment for our students and staff.

Progress in motion at Julius E. Sprauve School ๐ง๐ซ
Rail repairs are currently underway, led by BSCMโs in-house team member, Mr. Frias. Every weld, adjustment, and reinforcement brings us one step closer to safer walkways for our students and staff.
Weโre proud of the hands-on dedication of our team as they continue the work to strengthen and improve our school facilities.
