🚨 Operation Guardian Angels: Full-Scale Exercise Happening Next Week🚨
The Virgin Islands Department of Health, in collaboration, with VIFEMS, VIPD, territorial hospitals, VITEMA, VI Rescue, the Department of Education, Department of Human Services, the American Red Cross, the Office of the Governor, and other private and public partners, is conducting a territory-wide full-scale emergency exercise this week.
📍 St. Thomas – March 24
📍 St. Croix – March 26
This hands-on exercise simulates a real-time pediatric mass casualty disaster response, with teams practicing coordination, communication, and emergency medical care across multiple sites, including Lockhart School, Pearl B. Larsen School, and the UVI Medical Simulation Center.
You may see emergency vehicles and response activity in these areas. School operations will continue with minimal disruption.
These exercises help ensure the Virgin Islands is prepared to respond effectively and protect our community when it matters most.
