The public is advised that the VIEDA Governing Board will meet virtually on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The meeting will include a public hearing for the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission (VIEDC), followed by decision meetings related to VIEDC and Enterprise Zone Commission matters.

Last week, USVIEDA and UVI Research and Technology Park joined forces as Gold Sponsors at the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, one of the largest investment events in the country. We were in the room with more than 5,500 attendees from 100 countries, making the case for why the USVI is one of the smartest places in the world to do business.
Our team engaged with approximately 60 investment leads across sectors like technology, trade, manufacturing, hospitality, and professional services. These are all conversations that could mean real jobs and growth for our community.

VIEDA proudly represented the Territory at the premier hotel investment conference for the Caribbean and Latin America region, where CEO Wayne L. Biggs, Jr. presented hotel development and investment opportunities in the USVI.
With projected airlift growth, strong visitor demand and robust incentive programs, the Territory continues to strengthen its appeal as a destination for hospitality investment.

The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority is pleased to announce its participation in the 2026 U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Development Spotlight, a special feature being produced in partnership with North America Outlook, a leading business publication.
This feature will highlight the U.S. Virgin Islands’ economic landscape, investment opportunities, and business success stories across multiple industries. As part of the project, USVIEDA CEO Wayne L. Biggs, Jr. will participate in an interview to discuss USVIEDA’s role in supporting economic development and advancing the Territory’s long-term growth.
The spotlight is expected to be published in July and shared across North America Outlook’s magazine, website, social media, newsletter platforms, and a dedicated brochure.

The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority is representing the U.S. Virgin Islands at ALIS CALA 2026, a regional hospitality investment conference focused on hotel development, tourism, and investment opportunities across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Today, April 28, 2026, at 2:45 p.m., USVIEDA CEO Wayne Biggs Jr. will present “Investment Opportunities in the U.S. Virgin Islands” at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.
Through this presentation, USVIEDA will highlight the Territory’s hotel development opportunities, investment incentives, and competitive advantages as we continue working to attract responsible investment, strengthen the hospitality sector, and support long-term economic growth in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
