Today, October 16, 2026, the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts (VICA) proudly joins Division of Personnel USVI in celebrating Go Pink Day!

We stand in solidarity with those fighting breast cancer, celebrate survivors, and honor those we have lost.

Together, we spread awareness, strength, love, and hope! 💕

Tomorrow the talented Waldemar Brodhurst will be leading Friends in the Courtyard workshop! Participants will make their own unique puffer fish out of coconuts and sea fans.

Waldemar Brodhurst is a Crucian artist who works exclusively in found and recycled materials – cable, rope, barbed wire, glass, wood, screening, fabric and found objects are all fair game for his extraordinary imagination and ability to turn trash into beauty.

The impact of the arts speaks for itself.

We were truly touched to receive this wonderful video from Young Gifted Talented (YGT) of St. Croix, sharing how support from the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts has impacted their organization and the young people they serve.

Stories like this remind us why investing in the arts matters. Through creativity, opportunity, mentorship, and community, organizations like YGT are helping our young people discover their gifts and build confidence in who they are.
