SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northwest Ohio, including Lucas County, until 7:00 PM EDT this evening.
Threats may include:
• Quarter-size hail
• Wind gusts up to 70 MPH
• Frequent lightning
Strong to severe storms may develop quickly this afternoon and evening. Residents are encouraged to:
• Secure outdoor items
• Charge electronic devices
• Monitor weather conditions closely
• Have multiple ways to receive warnings
A WATCH means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop. Stay weather aware and be prepared to take action if warnings are issued.

🔊 **Outdoor Warning Siren Testing will also take place today.**
During this test, you may:
• Receive a test alert on your mobile device
• Hear outdoor warning sirens sound across the county
✅ **This is only a test. No action is required.**
This monthly testing helps ensure our alerting systems are working properly and that you receive critical information during real emergencies.
👉 Take a moment to check your phone settings and make sure **WEA alerts are enabled** so you don’t miss important notifications.
