The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northwest Ohio, including Lucas County, until 7:00 PM EDT this evening.

Threats may include:
• Quarter-size hail
• Wind gusts up to 70 MPH
• Frequent lightning

Strong to severe storms may develop quickly this afternoon and evening. Residents are encouraged to:
• Secure outdoor items
• Charge electronic devices
• Monitor weather conditions closely
• Have multiple ways to receive warnings

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lucas County until 5:30 PM (1730 hours).

Hazards may include:
• Damaging winds
• Large hail
• Frequent lightning
• Heavy rainfall

Take action now:
• Move indoors immediately
• Stay away from windows
• Secure outdoor items if safe to do so
• Continue monitoring trusted weather sources for updates

A WARNING means severe weather is occurring or imminent.
