Unlocking Potential: How USAID Partnerships Enable Access to Climate Adaptation Finance 02/01/2025

Local leaders across Africa have the knowledge to build resilience – they just need access to climate finance.

USAID - US Agency for International Development’s Climate Adaptation Support Activity (CASA) is helping African institutions navigate the complex Green Climate Fund (GCF) process through partnerships with the Africa Adaptation Initiative and organizations like Sustainable Solutions Africa (SSA).

This year, CASA and SSA launched the Adaptation Finance Academy to equip experts with the skills needed to access GCF funds and drive climate-smart projects like climate-resilient agriculture in Senegal.

Learn how these efforts are bridging the climate finance gap and building resilience across Africa. 🌱 https://www.climatelinks.org/blog/unlocking-potential-how-usaid-partnerships-enable-access-climate-adaptation-finance

Farmers in Chiang Khan, Loei Province, Thailand, harness solar energy to increase their production efficiency and income. The USAID Southeast Asia Smart Power Program works with financial institutions to support projects that address climate change and help increase livelihoods.

“Our lives are much better since we started using solar energy on our farm. Besides guava, we can also grow mangoes, papayas, various kinds of vegetables, and even raise fish in the pond. Every day, we earn money from selling these local products,” explained one of the farmers. https://www.climatelinks.org/photo-gallery/using-solar-energy-improve-farm-production-efficiency
