USAID - US Agency for International Development’s Climate Adaptation Support Activity (CASA) is helping African institutions navigate the complex Green Climate Fund (GCF) process through partnerships with the Africa Adaptation Initiative and organizations like Sustainable Solutions Africa (SSA).

This year, CASA and SSA launched the Adaptation Finance Academy to equip experts with the skills needed to access GCF funds and drive climate-smart projects like climate-resilient agriculture in Senegal.

New Climate Risk Profiles Available to Help Missions Strengthen Resilience As 2024 comes to a close, countries around the world are experiencing the impacts of climate change. Shifting rainfall patterns, rising temperatures and sea levels, and receding glaciers are creating cascading impacts on people, food systems, ecosystems, and economic structures.
