Sunday's GotanRyu tournament was a true success. We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated. Every competitor demonstrated great sportsmanship, gave their best, and most importantly, had fun.

Winning isn’t always about taking first place. It’s about showing up, pushing through nerves, and stepping into the ring. That courage is a victory on its own.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our families — moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles. Your encouragement makes all the difference.

Introducing Shidoin Alisha Felix.

Alisha started her Martial arts training at the Rafael Hernández After-School Karate Program and continues her training at East Coast School of Combined Martial Arts Arroyo's Program. She successfully completed her black belt test (which lasted 6 1/2 hours) on 11.9.24.

Alisha is a perfect example of a dedicated and committed student. Her years of hard work have paid off and we are proud to welcome her into our black belt family. At East Coast everything is earned, nothing is given and Alisha has earned the title of Shidoin, oss!

Tournament today at the Rafael Hernandez School was a really beautiful experience for all the participants.
