🚴 A heartfelt thank-you to the Rotary Club of Sacramento for organizing such a successful event over the weekend - the 12th annual Sacramento Century Challenge ()! 🙌 Months of planning and hard work made it an incredible day—and helped raise vital funds for the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery. We greatly appreciate all the time and effort that goes into an event of this capacity. Cheers!

Get to know Hunger Hero Sarah Kayugira! With 15 volunteer hours under her belt and more to come, she's making a real impact in the fight against hunger. Thank you for being part of our community, Sarah!
Q: Why do you volunteer?
A: "I needed community service hours, and the food bank was something I knew I would enjoy and would be happy to be involved."
Q: How long have you been volunteering?
A: "I have been volunteering at SFBFS for two weeks. However, I also volunteered in middle and high school a few years back!"
Q: What's your favorite thing about volunteering?
A: "The people! Also, knowing that the work we put into preparing and distributing food helps so many families in need. It is great finally getting to give back as I used to go to food banks as a child with my family."
Q: Anything else you’d like us to know?
A: "After getting my hours needed, I definitely plan to continue volunteering here as it's now a hobby I've found to really enjoy. Wish I had known about this location earlier. It's a lovely environment for all ages!"
