Youth Talk

As a youth,the only resource you majorly count on is time:
Don't waste it on negative emotions
Don't waste it on bad relationships
Don't waste it minding other people's businesses;
But,
Use it to build your life
Use it to build assets
Use it to explore on your beliefs,
And above all make any minute,every second and every hour count. Live an abundant life.

As a youth, you need to set goals. You need to have a vision. The vision is a product of desire to have it. The desire must always be formed from an idea, and an idea stems from thinking. Therefore you got to use your brain and think to create ideas. implement the idears and you shall find greatness you deserve.

Setting goals is easy, having an idea is automatic; but
To start the mission of achieving the goal ;you need a clear vision, strategies, the appropriate reasources to start
To ensure you keep going you need commitment
To ensure you are not distracted you need perseverance.
But the idea of all is to start and with the mentioned logics you'll surely get to the goal no matter how small you start.

It's not what people tell you, it's not what they do for nor what you think is right. It's what you are doing to change. Change your mindset, act on priorities, listen to yourself and begin the change immediately.

As a youth, do you still remember that first odd job you did to earn you a coin? Maybe it's weeding,grazing, masonry or even woodwork. What was your experience? Did you get to learn something out of it? Did you take it positive? Are you now experienced in another field? What is that one thing you wish to know about your current occupation? And are you comfortable with it or struggling and can you do something about it????
Food for thought ..

As a youth, you need to evaluate yourself on whether you are progressing in your strive to social, spiritual and financial maturity. You should be able to identify your starting point, the current situation and how far you are from your goals. Recognize the setbacks and achievements within a specific period while relating to the set targets. With that, you shall be able adjust to the challenges for improvement.

As a youth, choosing a career may be challenging. You only realize it wasn't right for after investing all your time, money and energy. Only to tag it "a wasted career."
The solution?
1. Find a mentor: a father, mother, teacher, a spiritual person and any relevant person of good will.
2. Identify your strengths both in academics and non-curriculum activities.
3. Identify you talent, gift and the career you are outrightly interested in.
4. Pursue the chosen path accordingly.
You'll never regret in your olden days.
Live a life of fulfilment.

The best gift you can give to the next generation is information on what life offers; thruogh experience, in childhood,in education,in work, in marriage and in old age. Therefore document it, speak it, sing it and show it. It's the best favor you can do the youth.

At times we need to consider what it takes to be silent and what a useless and unnecessary arguments can lead to.

Prejudice; the attitude of having a formed opinion over someone. Most people judge others prematurely in one way or the other, not because they understand them, but because they think they know them just the way they are; may be according to the way they talk, walk, dress, their disability or just looking like the same person they interacted with in a particular environment.
Challenge?: We tend to do so before thinking of ourselves, our situations, our limitations and our intentions while approaching an individual. The end result and most negative impact befalls us when we give ourselves ranking relative to their current life. "Ooh am good than him or am better than her", or "am below his lever, or she seems smarter than me." It's my humble prayer that you seek to scrutinize the inner self;
Knowing who you are.
Understand your purpose.
Recognize your imperfection.
Mark your status in terms of your social, spiritual and economic potential, both current and possible future. From then you shall be able to learn, to grow and to establish yourself.

When I began focusing on myself, I realized that there is a lot to be done. I realized have wasted much energy concentrating on others. I recognized my on self. It made me recognize my own self before judging others, before criticizing others, before commenting on a post.
It requires wisdom, courage and confidence with the guidance of the mighty power.
Focusing on yourself enables you grow in spirit, socially and financially.
Therefore before anything, focus on you fisrt.

Fear hinders you from embracing change, you become stagnated.
Fear tells you of the losses only not profits.
Fear suggests to you that the family won't be as successful and happy as think, and you quit that good relationship.
Fear reminds of the bad consequences of quiting that job and taking a new direction and remain in that financial freedom for life.
Look, whether you choose to overcome fear or not, there shall be consequences. So, would you rather remain in that situation because of fear or overcome the fear to enter the new cycle???. Remember there are good fears and bad fears.
