RE-Elect Wendy Henderson

Today is the day.. It seems like it has been forever... My heart is happy and my tummy is in knots... I have been beyond blessed to ba able to even attempt running for an elected position. I love my job with the City and hope that I can continue to make the City proud. Please remember Wendy Henderson is your City Recorder/Treasurer and vote to keep me in the office!!! Every vote is apprecitated and needed..

Homecoming Parade is today downtown at 4:00.. I hope the streets of downtown are filled with people in gold and black in support of our Yellow Jackets!!!

This is just a litle insight for all the candidates running. Just not for my job, but also for the city council as well. You might want to see what the job consist of, say come to a few council meetings or come sit in city hall for a few hours, or ask another council member, before you really decide that you want to run for the job! For me, there are way too many duties that my job consist of. I, for one, rarely ever take a lunch break. You can find me usually sitting at my desk eating lunch. I work all day and some nights for the City of Clinton. I am the only one in the office to do my job. I absolutely love, love my job. If I didn't, I wouldn't put in 45 hours a week and wouldn't be giving it 100+%. I attend every outing that the City has or puts on. I forward the phones to my cell when I go to the bank or post office or even if I get out for a minute. I make sure that I try and answer every call that comes throught city hall. If I don't know the answer, I usually call someone to find out. I try my hardest to do everything I can for the City of Clinton and I have alot of great ideas for the new year of 2013. SO, please remember how hard I work for you all on November 6.

Tomorrow is October 5, 2012, and the Mayor passed a proclamation for the City of Clinton declaring that day as GO PINK FOR THE CURE DAY! The Mayor and I are encouraging businesses and citizens to participate and let the ones in our community who have or known ones that have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please hang a pink ribbon outside your door or decorate your windows with PINK. Let the ones in the community know that we are here for them. Next year we are hoping to be able to make it a big event and be able to hand out prizes to the ones who do participate. SO WEAR PINK AND LET'S PAINT THE TOWN PINK!!!!

Chili Cook Off this Saturday on the square. Also, CASA is having a car show.. Come out and support the town.
