Yesterday, I joined Interior and National Administration CS and other leaders at a thanksgiving service held at Dini ya Roho Mafuta Pole ya Africa Church in Sakale, West Pokot County, where we also participated in a fundraiser towards the development of church infrastructure.
We commend the church for its vital role in promoting peace, community development, and support for education within the region. Faith-based institutions continue to be key partners in fostering unity, stability, and social transformation.
I also applaud the residents of West Pokot for embracing peace and supporting ongoing security initiatives, including the surrender of illegal fi****ms. Sustaining peace and security remains essential for development and prosperity in the county.
At the same time, we note with concern the continued cases of illegal and unregulated mining activities that pose serious safety and security risks. We call for adherence to safety standards and reaffirm our commitment to working closely with relevant stakehol

Yesterday, I joined Hon. Rael Kasiwai Aleutum, the Woman Representative fWest Pokot County, in an empowerment initiative conducted for the Kariwon/Likwon Community-Based Organization (CBO) at the Chepkorniswo Comprehensive School grounds within Chepareria Ward, Pokot South Constituency.
We remain dedicated to supporting such community groups to foster development at the grassroots level.
In attendance were:Hon. Samuel Moroto Mp Kapenguria, Hon. Simon Kalekem, Hon. Losilian, Hon. Lokomol, Hon. Loriso, Hon. Marishana Cheruto, Hon. Chombir, Hon. Cheprum and other leaders.

Later on,together with PS Education Amb. Prof. Julius Bitok, we Ijoined Soy MP, Hon. David Kiplagat and the community of ACK Ziwa Senior School for a Thanksgiving ceremony in honour of the 2025 KCSE candidates.
The event also marked a significant commissioning of a new school dormitory.
I applaud students, teachers and the entire ACK Ziwa Senior School community for their commendable job.

Today, I accompanied Amb. Prof Julius Bitok PS for Education , to commission a modern Library and Administration Block at Chewoyet Senior National School.
Through constructing additional classrooms and laboratories as part of Government Education Development Policy more national schools are expanded across the country accommodating more students.
The event was attended by several leaders, including West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin, Senator Hon. Julius Murgor Woman Representative Hon. Rael Kasiwai Aleutum, Sigor MP Hon. Peter Lochakapong', Hon. Samuel Moroto( hosting MP) , former Governor Prof. John Lonyang'apuo, MCAs, Directors and other government officials.

Today, I accompanied my colleague, Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, Principal Secretary for Investment and Promotion, in presiding over the official launch of a Ksh. 70 million credit facility for Eco Pillar Sacco under the DRIVE Project.
Attendees included Governor Simon Kachapin, Deputy Governor Komolle, Kenya Development Corporation CEO Norah Buyaki Ratemo, and Eco Pillar Sacco Chairman Phillip Kemei.
This facility, facilitated by the Kenya Development Corporation with support from the World Bank, will enable Eco Pillar Sacco to broaden access to affordable credit for farmers, traders, and small enterprises at the interest of 10 percent across West Pokot County. Strengthening our cooperatives remains pivotal to empowering our citizens, fostering enterprise development, and enhancing household incomes.
We appreciate the ongoing partnership between the National Government, County Government, development partners, and the continued investments in trade infrastructure, including the modern markets currently under construction in Makutano, Ortum, and Sigor.

Together with Dr. Paul Rono from the PS State Department for Agriculture, we presided over the launch of Project Trinite in Kenya at Ptop, Tapach Ward, Pokot South Constituency.
Project Trinite is a global initiative aimed at creating sustainable economic impact by expanding digital access and empowering rural communities through technology, innovation, and opportunity.
Using solar-powered, satellite-connected POD (Portable Online Development) centers, they deliver high-speed internet, modern tools, and top-tier digital training—including data, AI, coding, and cybersecurity—to underserved regions.
These centers enable local talent to access and connect with real remote work opportunities, transforming isolation into innovation and fostering sustainable economic growth where opportunities were previously limited.

I accompanied my colleague, PS Dr. Paul Rono, of the State Department for Agriculture, during the unveiling of 140 Agripreneurs under the Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP) Business Acceleration Model at the County Headquarters together with other County leaders.
While there, we distributed 200 market umbrellas to small-scale traders to shield them from harsh weather conditions, unveiled 1.1 million assorted seedlings—including avocados, coffee, and macadamia—ready for planting at the onset of the long rains, and announced the opening of new last-mile fertilizer centers in Tabich, Kabichbich, and Ortum.
