ACFN women, men and youth are invited to contribute to and help
finalize the ACFN Rights Assessment Framework!

ACFN is working with Integral Ecology Group (IEG) to conduct a
rights impact assessment focused on water - these upcoming sessions will share the results of interviews and focus groups held in October 2025. Thank you to the Ni Chu Tu Kelni Advisory Group for their work over the last few months.

ALL FORT CHIPEWYAN YOUTH ages 16-30 can sign up to go on boat rides July 9, 10 and 11 and are invited to our Dene Games Night on July 11 at 5 PM!

ACFN DLRM intervened at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) hearing on February 10th stating concerns, issues, impacts, and demanding the protection of ACFN Treaty Rights from the proposed Uranium mine. On March 4th, the proposed NexGen Rook 1 Mine has received a license to prepare site and construct from the CNSC.

ACFN was successful in getting recommendations put into the approval conditions from our submission, but this is only the start of our fight toward halting further uranium mining on ACFN territory.

More information and engagement opportunities will occur this summer for members.
