I am seeking election in 2020 to continue to improve our public education system.

As an engineer turned marketer turned consultant I have the skills needed to make data-based decisions to deliver maximum benefit to ALL stakeholders.

Making sure everyone knows the BOE race is now uncontested in HH. David Raetsch, Mary Stewart Vena, and I will all be joining the board in January. David was also selected to fill the vacancy until the end of this year.

Next BOE mtg is 10/13!

Make sure you see what else was approved during last week's BOE meeting - changes on the counseling front with some resignations, professional development to support remote instruction, and more!

Next BOE meeting (and last before school starts) on September 8th!

I've been thinking about running for BOE for several years and despite the pandemic, this is the year that is right for me. I have an incoming 8th grader at the Jr. High and 6th grader at Glenview. After getting involved in BOE meetings a couple years ago, and seeing a willingness to change archaic practices I became committed to be a part of that change.

I believe in leveraging data and trends to make decisions. Our school district is operating with many of the same practices it has for the past generation and that is not an excuse.

I am the voice of:
- Dual career and single parent households who need full-day Kindergarten and fewer half days in the schedule
- Those who don't live across the street and need a safe place for kids to go for the 45 minutes of dead time between the end of school and track practice
- The person too embarrassed to speak up or afraid of tough conversations
- Data and reason - I will seek to understand and communicate why there is an issue and find multiple potential solutions.

About Me:
I grew up in the Hudson Valley, NY, attended Lafayette College where I majored in Mechanical Engineering and minored in French. After college I worked for 4 years at Procter & Gamble’s largest NA manufacturing plant in Mehoopany, PA (where I met my husband) before deciding to leverage an MBA from Cornell University to transition to Brand Management. I spent 11 years working in marketing at Campbell Soup, managing billion dollar businesses with marketing budgets of hundreds of millions, before transitioning to sales and marketing consulting in 2015. I currently work for The Partnering Group with a flexible, work-from-home schedule that affords me the opportunity to commit to a BOE position.

Involvement in HH:
I have been involved in the community since moving here 13 years ago. Heavily involved in the Haddon Heights Soccer Club, I have served as board member, Tot and Rec Coordinator, and still serve as Team Manager for the 2009 Lightning. I have volunteered for the PTG at key events and for the Art Goes to School program, I am on St. Rose of Lima Parish Council and serve as the Chair of the Sunshine Committee there.

Please reach out with any questions you might have. I hope to serve you in the coming years.
