Happy World Bee Day 🐝. Here is some of the honey I collected from one of our hives last week.

Bees and other pollinators are vital to our planet. They are also completely fascinating!

It has been a delight to learn more about these wonderful creatures and to start keeping bees at home. Thank you to all those who have helped teach me and others about bees!

Our older dog, Misty, thinks it’s very unfair that I keep sharing pics of the puppy and would like some attention too.

She agrees that a new puppy can be a bit of a handful but she is knocking him into shape. She is also quite enjoying the new toys that seem to keep appearing and has firmly decided that all of these belong to her.

She would also like you to note that the bluebells are particularly fine this year.

We made it to the coffee shop! I consider this to be a MAJOR step forward in puppy training. 😀☕️

Gandalf is 11 weeks and one day today and full of energy especially first thing in the morning. He had his second set of vaccination jabs last week so can go where other dogs have been. He still needs to have his second L4 jab to protect him from rat bourne disease, so I need to be careful that he is not in still water or ditches.

I have had long conversations with our wonderful vet about which wormer/flea treatment to use. Some brands like Frontline are doing terrible damage to insect life which is affecting biodiversity in our rivers.

Sort of had to be done …. 😂🐾

Big treat to be representing Essex County Cricket Club at the home of cricket today, meeting representatives from professional cricket clubs all across the country. Sun shining and grounds ready for the start of the new season. ☀️ 🏏 ☀️ 🏏 ☀️ 🏏

I KNOW I bought a really good Valentines card & chocs 10 days ago and hid it in a safe place … I have just spent an hour trying to find it. Meanwhile, Dr Ford has countered with flowers, card, lindor and a giant toblerone. I have conceded all high ground and retreated to sea level for next 12 months. …. Happy Valentines Day xx

I want politics that works for our country, not mouthy slogans. Yesterday I meet up with the wonderful duo of Ruth Davidson and Andy Street as they launched a new movement, ProsperUK. Ruth and Andy are centre right politicians, grounded in the need to build a stronger economy & focused on developing policies that work across the country, not just in westmister. They agree that Kemi Badenoch is doing an excellent job as leader of the opposition and they want to help find centre right policies that fit the needs of our country today.
